In March 2008 during our transition from St Peters Neighbourhood Management to St Peters Neighbourhood Monitoring we had funds left from our end of year budget.

We decided that Neighbourhood Management should have a lasting legacy here in St Peters other than the cleaner and better neighbourhood we began to create through our everyday neighbourhood management board work.

We deiced to use the money to plant four Laburnum trees in a high foot fall walkway behind Uplands School in Leicester near Galaxy Walk and the Highfields Centre.

Each year they will produce a bright yellow floral display that many in our community can now see as they pass by. We hope you enjoy these trees as much as we do.
